Based on our survey, employees with 05 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between ZAR1,562 and ZAR32,253 per month. Based on 15 years of work experience, employees will earn between ZAR659 and ZAR31,691 per month.

48% of employees state that they do not have any children. The age group for employees who answered the survey was mostly between 24 and 29 years of age. 54% says they are male, while 46% entered female as their gender.

Average working week of 40 hours

On average, employees work 40 hours per week. According to our survey, coverage by collective bargaining among workers is set at 6%. 94% are not covered by a collective agreement.

62% of special needs teachers fewer than 5 years of work experience

Employees mostly work in organisations consisting of 500 or more people. Employees who have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, add up to 45%. In most cases, employees report that the majority of their coworkers are female. 55% of workers in this occupation state that they have no permanent contract for their job. Of the participating workers in this occupation, 14% work in a multinational organisation. Since starting their first job, 62% of people in this job have worked fewer than 5 years.
