Based on our survey, employees with 30 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between Ksh16,582 and Ksh82,739 per month. Workers in this occupation who are new to the job, will earn between Ksh14,820 and Ksh31,457 per month, based on one year of work experience.
Of the respondents, 66% are female and 34% are male. The age group for employees who answered the survey was mostly between 24 and 29 years of age. 47% of workers are parents of at least 1 child.
Average working week of 43 hours
Coverage by collective bargaining amongst workers in this occupation is 6%, while 94% are not covered by a collective agreement, according to our survey. Workers in this occupation work 43 hours per week on average.
Coworkers mostly female
44% of workers have worked fewer than 5 years since their first job. Workers mostly work in organisations consisting of 500 or more people. 16% of all participating employees work in a multinational organisation. In most cases, employees report that the majority of their coworkers are female. Workers in this occupation who have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, add up to 62%. 38% of people in this job state that they have no permanent contract for their job.
In the survey, 3% of the employees choose 'highly satisfied' as their job satisfaction level. In general, most workers in this occupation are dissatisfied with their position. This is the case for 30% of the workers in this occupation.

Of all surveyed workers, 28% feel highly dissatisfied about their salary. Generally, 49% of the workers in this occupation report they are dissatisfied with their salary.
