1 Mar 2024 - Nursing associate professionals that have worked for 15 years, receive between K6,759 and K28,131 per month. Since starting their first job, 55% of workers have worked fewer than 5 years. This is evident from research conducted by Mywage.org/Zambia, in 2024.

Based on our survey, workers in this occupation with 20 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between K7,904 and K35,622 per month. Veteran workers in this occupation with 30 years worth of experience can earn an hourly wage between K30 and K130 per hour.

Nursing associate professionals mostly male

Of the employees who participated in the survey, 40% have no children. Most employees are male, based on the survey results. The age group for workers who answered the survey was mostly between 24 and 29 years of age.

Average working week of 41 hours

According to our survey, coverage by collective bargaining among workers is set at 7%. 93% are not covered by a collective agreement. Workers work 41 hours per week on average.

Workers in this occupation who have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, add up to 57%. 43% of workers in this occupation state that they have no permanent contract for their job. People in this job mostly work in organisations consisting of 500 or more people. In most cases, people in this job report that the majority of their coworkers are female. 55% of employees have worked fewer than 5 years since their first job. Of the participating employees, 32% work in a multinational organisation.

The survey shows that 10% of the people in this job feel highly satisfied about their position. On the whole, workers feel in between satisfied and dissatisfied about their job. This feeling is shared by 29% of the workers.

Wage dissatisfaction high among nursing associate professionals

Of all surveyed workers in this occupation, 24% feel in between satisfied and dissatisfied about their salary. Generally, 46% of the employees report they are dissatisfied with their salary.
