Information and communications technology user support technicians who have 25 years of experience in their job, will earn between USh855,785 and USh2,689,932 per month. 28% of the people in this job reports to be highly dissatisfied with their wage. This is evident from research conducted by Mywage.org/Uganda, in 2023.
Based on our survey, employees with 30 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between USh975,293 and USh2,926,298 per month. With 25 years of work experience, employees will earn USh4,118 to USh12,942 per hour.
The age group for people in this job who answered the survey was mostly between 24 and 29 years of age. Most employees are male, based on the survey results. Of the workers who participated in the survey, 44% have no children.
Average working week of 43 hours
Coverage by collective bargaining amongst employees is 10%, while 90% are not covered by a collective agreement, according to our survey. Employees work 43 hours per week on average.

34% of workers in this occupation state that they have a permanent contract for the work that they are doing. 52% of workers have worked fewer than 5 years since their first job.
