Collective bargaining coverage limited among secondary education teachers

Secondary education teachers mostly male

Of the respondents, 32% are female and 68% are male. Of the workers in this occupation who participated in the survey, 43% have no children. Workers who answered the survey are mostly between 24 and 29 years of age.

Employees work 36 hours per week on average. According to our survey, coverage by collective bargaining among people in this job is set at 16%. 84% are not covered by a collective agreement.

Coworkers mostly female

Since starting their first job, 45% of workers have worked fewer than 5 years. Workers in this occupation who do not have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, added up to 70% of respondents. Employees mostly work in organisations consisting of 500 or more people. Workers who have a permanent contract for the work they are performing, add up to 30%. 27% of all participating workers work in a multinational organisation. For most workers in this occupation, the majority of their coworkers are female.

In the survey, 9% of the workers choose 'highly dissatisfied' as their job satisfaction level. On the whole, employees feel satisfied about their job. This feeling is shared by 40% of the employees.

Wage dissatisfaction high among secondary education teachers

Of all surveyed workers in this occupation, 24% feel highly dissatisfied about their salary. Generally, 30% of the employees report they are in between satisfied and dissatisfied with their salary.
