• 27 September 2019 - Agribank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sakaria Nghikembua, stated that through the bank’s lending activities, they were able to create 46,816 direct jobs across Namibia’s agricultural sector in 2019.   • 27 September 2019 - The Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (NAFAU) and Pick n Pay, a grocery retailer, have reached a standstill over wages. The parties commenced wage negotiations back in April but failed to reach an agreement at a meeting conducted recently. After a certificate of unresolved dispute was issued to the parties, Pick n Pay allegedly intimidated employees into accepting the company deal or risk losing benefits and bonuses. Trade Unions
  • 17 September 2019 - O&L Leisure Hotel and Lodges signed a wage agreement with the Tourism and Allied Workers Union of Namibia (TAWUN). The employees will receive pay increments amounting to an increase of 6% over the next three years. Additionally, one month’s salary as a bonus would be awarded each year in December.
