Based on our survey, workers in this occupation with 30 years of work experience earn the highest salary: between €1,458 and €1,955 per month. Per hour, employees with 5 years of experience earn between €7 and €9.
Fire-fighters mostly male
The age group for employees who answered the survey was mostly between 20 and 24 years of age. 16% of the respondents are female, 84% are male.
Average working week of 41 hours
Coverage by collective bargaining amongst people in this job is 3%, while 97% are not covered by a collective agreement, according to our survey. On average, employees work 41 hours per week.
62% of fire-fighters fewer than 5 years of work experience
Of the participating workers, 43% work in a multinational organisation. The majority of people in this job work in organisations of 500 or more employees. In most cases, people in this job report that the majority of their coworkers are male. 59% of workers state that they have a permanent contract for the work that they are doing. 62% of workers in this occupation have worked fewer than 5 years since their first job. 41% of employees state that they have no permanent contract for their job.
