  • 1 October 2019 - The average annual basic salary of employees has increased by 7% in the second quarter of the year 2019; it rose from $18,942 to $19,484. The highest salaries were paid in the finance sector, followed by information and communications.  Work and Wages
  • 25 September 2019 - Enforcing a 2007 policy, the government agency Identity Malta requires non-EU persons working in Malta to adhere to wage requirements to be eligible to apply for residence permits for family members. Non-EU nationals are required to earn a minimum of  € 19,000 annually in addition to 20% of that wage per family member in order to apply for the permits. This policy might force individuals to send their spouses or children back to their home countries. Salary Check
