賴清德，中華民國政治人物，民主進步黨籍，現任中華民國總統（兼任國家安全會議主席）、民主進步黨主席和中華文化總會會長，曾任中華民國副總統、行政院院長、臺南市市長、立法委員、國民大會代表等職務。原為醫師，後來因擔任陳定南競選臺灣省省長「全國醫師後援會」總召集人而踏入政壇。曾多次當選國民大會代表和立法委員，並於2010年當選為臺南市市長，2014年順利連任。賴清德是中華民國憲政史上首位以副總統身分參選總統並成功當選的政治人物，也是中華民國憲政史上，第二位曾歷任行政院院長、副總統及總統職務的政治人物。
