A Curriculum vitae is a very important tool to get someone a job when you write it well.

You can have the good qualifications and impress during interviews but if your CV is not up to date, you cannot win a job.

A former Blantyre Print and Packaging General Manager Joshua Chienda says in Malawi CV’s play a very crucial role for one to impress during interviews hence they have to be well written.

“I have conducted several interviews and in all that a CV is still an important hub for one to get a job. You may do well in some of the questions which the panel may ask but if your CV is poor then count yourself out,” says Chienda.

He observes that many young women and men still have not mastered the good way of writing CV’s hence they end up failing to impress the interview panel.

“A CV has to have the right information, tell more about yourself, your qualifications and the best I can urge young men and women is let them read more about CV’s,” says Chienda.

He says that many young women and men are not serious enough when writing CV’s and end up putting in unnecessary stuff.

“A CV is a serious weapon for one to get himself or herself a job so no need of flowery language. You have to go straight to the point and the CV needs to be short,” he says.
