Paid Annual Leave

Are you aware of the paid annual leave of an employee? They are entitled to at least three weeks of paid leave. If they have worked for three to 15 years continuously for an employer, they are eligible for 25 days of annual leave. If it’s more than 15 years they get 30 days of annual leave. Maternity Provision

According to the Labour Act in South Sudan, requiring an employee, who is pregnant or is nursing a child, to perform work that may be hazardous to her or her child’s health is prohibited. An employer may not allow an employee to perform night work eight weeks before and after childbirth. Dismissal of an employee on the grounds of sex, pregnancy and childbirth is prohibited under the law. Employment during maternity leave remains secure.
